Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds Shines During Truck Week 2026
Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds (Healthy Heads) will deliver a powerful national presence during Truck Week 2026, rolling out a coordinated series of activations across Australia to support the mental health and wellbeing of those working in the road transport, warehousing, and logistics industries.
From Western Australia to the eastern seaboard, Healthy Heads will take its message directly to the people who keep Australia moving, meeting drivers, operators, and industry participants where they are: on the road.
In Western Australia, Healthy Heads’ outreach vehicle, our DAF LF “Roadie”, will be deployed across key partner sites and truck stops, offering free health checks and wellbeing conversations for drivers. These activations are designed to provide practical, accessible support in environments where drivers feel comfortable, while also breaking down barriers to seeking help.
At the same time, on the east coast, the iconic Kenworth “Kenny” will lead a packed schedule of engagements aligned with key industry events and advocacy opportunities.
Kenny’s journey will include:
- Supporting R U OK? in Trucks & Sheds Day activations at Ampol sites
- A visit to Parliament House during Budget Week to advocate for increased investment in mental health support for the industry
- Participation in a Drive Day in Torquay in partnership with Knorr-Bremse
- An on-site activation at the Ettamogah Rail Hub with WHG, engaging directly with drivers and logistics workers
- Visits to BP roadhouses to connect with drivers on the ground
- A final stop in the Hunter Valley for the Heavy Vehicle Industry Australia’s TruckShowX, one of the industry’s premier events
This coordinated national effort highlights the scale and commitment of Healthy Heads in delivering frontline mental health support, industry engagement, and policy advocacy.
Healthy Heads CEO Naomi Frauenfelder said Truck Week provides a unique platform to amplify the organisation’s impact.
“I am proud of the national coverage Healthy Heads delivers, from east to west coast, and Truck Week is the perfect opportunity for our team to be on the road in support of industry,” Ms Frauenfelder said.
“By meeting people where they are, we can have real conversations, provide practical support, and continue to build awareness of the importance of mental health across our sector.”
Truck Week also reinforces the critical role partnerships play in enabling Healthy Heads to deliver its programs at scale. The organisation works closely with a growing network of Corporate Partners who support its mission to improve mental health outcomes across the industry.
“I thank all of our Corporate Partners for their generous contributions in support of our mental health and wellbeing initiatives. None of what we achieved would be possible without them.” Ms Frauenfelder said.
With long hours, isolation, and demanding conditions a reality for many in the transport sector, initiatives like Truck Week ensure that support is visible, accessible, and grounded in the everyday experience of industry participants.
Through its national footprint, practical activations, and ongoing advocacy, Healthy Heads continues to lead the way in creating a healthier, more resilient road transport industry, one conversation, one stop, and one journey at a time.
